2-Ingredient Chocolate Mousse (vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free!)
This mousse is so delicious you would NEVER think that it’s made with just 2-ingredients! It’s so chocolate-y and indulgent, it’s absolutely phenomenal. It’s so quick and easy to make and sets in the fridge pretty quickly for all to enjoy!
This is the third day of utilizing my canned chickpeas! We’ve made Shortcut Hummus and Chickpea Hummus together!
2-Ingredient Chocolate Mousse (vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free!)

This 2-ingredient easy, quick, and delicious chocolate mousse is the perfect allergy-friendly chocolate-y dessert to end your meal!
Ingredients
- 200 g vegan chocolate (semi-sweet or milk)
- aquafaba from 1 can of chickpeas, about 120 ml or ½ cup.
Instructions
- Drain the can of chickpeas and reserve the aquafaba.
- Chop chocolate into small pieces.
- Melt chocolate in a bain-marie over simmering water. Set aside to cool.
- In a bowl or stand mixer, whip aquafaba until stiff peaks form.
- Gently mix melted chocolate into the aquafaba.
- Spoon aquafaba into ramekins of choice.
- Place in the refrigerator to set.
- Finish with shaved chocolate.
Notes
The amount of sugar in this recipe depends on the chocolate being used.
If you want to use dark chocolate, add a tablespoon of caster sugar to the aquafaba while whipping to sweeten it. Don't add sugar if you use vegan milk chocolate.
- Make sure the aquafaba and melted chocolate reach room temperature before mixing. The chocolate will seize and become grainy if added into cold aquafaba!
- Optional: Add a teaspoon of cream of tartar to stabilize the aquafaba before whipping.
