I grew up in a mixed family where the whole world was under our roof. Our home overflowed with cultures, colors, and endless possibilities, and our table brimmed with little bites from different countries. I’ve always felt both at home everywhere and yet nowhere all at once. My love for ingredients and my culinary journey began early, but I chose to pursue law, driven by a passion for reading, writing, and helping others.
While studying law, I took on a role as a food critic, receiving invitations to review restaurants and hotels. My deep connection to food remained unwavering, and even after becoming a licensed lawyer, the kitchen called to me as a place of refuge, peace, and serenity. It always beckoned me back.
After moving to Montréal, Canada, my passion for cooking grew even stronger.
What better place to immerse myself than this hub of gastronomy?
So, I followed my calling to culinary school and climbed the ranks until I earned the title of chef!
As a culinary writer and chef, I’m committed to showcasing the vibrant layers of cultures through storytelling. I blend thorough research with engaging narratives, using my diverse experiences in both law and the culinary arts to illuminate the richness of flavors and traditions around the world. I aim to foster a deeper appreciation of food's universal language and leave a lasting impact by changing how people think about and engage with food, culture, and flavor.
