Dalgona Coffee
Dalgona has gone viral all over the internet!
We’ve seen many different versions of it everywhere! But where did it originate?
Well! It originated in South Korea. There’s a popular street toffee called “honeycomb toffee” where it got its name from. India and Pakistan have a similar frothed coffee, called Phenti Hui, which they’ve been making for years!
I’ve experimented for a while. I’ve tried dalgona coffee with sugar, sweetener, and maple syrup, and all whip up beautifully. It’s so versatile and you can use any type of milk, so you can opt for a non-dairy lactose-free version, and any type of instant coffee you want. It tastes almost like a Frappuccino, if not better! I used hazelnut Nescafé instant coffee because I love that nutty flavor in my coffee.
